Migrate email from Gmail to Yandex Mail
Gmail to Yandex needs setup on both ends: Gmail wants IMAP enabled and an app password, Yandex wants the same plus a login without the domain part.

What breaks on this particular pair
- Exclude [Gmail]/All Mail or every message arrives twice and the volume doubles.
- Yandex standard mailboxes use the local part as login, Gmail uses the full address. Mixing them up is the most common mistake here.
- Gmail serves about 2.5 GB per day, Yandex rate-limits requests. A large archive takes several days.
- App passwords are required on both sides.

Do nested Gmail labels survive?
Yes — nested labels such as Work/Clients become nested folders in Yandex. The structure is preserved.
